Responsibilities

-Creating the general plan for the EPADP;

-Designing and executing the surface drainage network;

-Designing and executing the sub-surface drainage network;

-Designing and executing drainage pump stations;

-Designing pipes required for sub-surface drainage;

-Maintenance of surface drainage network;

-Maintenance of sub-surface drainage network.

Achievements

- Expanding and deepening surface drainage for an area of 6.9 million feddans;

- Extending sub-surface drainage to 4.8 million feddans;

- Rehabilitation of old sub-surface field drainage in 437,000 feddans.

Future Plans

- Expanding and deepening of surface drainage in 300,000 feddans;

- Extension of subsurface drainage to 1.6 million feddans;

- Rehabilitation of old sub-surface field drainage in a 2-million-feddans area.

 Structure

The EPADP consists of the following central departments:

- The Central Departments of Drainage in: East Delta, Middle Delta, West Delta, Middle Egypt and Upper Egypt;

- The Central Department of Field Investigation and Design;

- The Central Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs.
