– Started as an engineer at the Experimental and Researches Station in Qanater Al-Khairiya in 1962
– Director of the Technical Office of the Minister of Irrigation from 1976 to 1985
– Director of the Water Distribution and Irrigation Methods Research Institute from 1985 to 1988
– Director of a regional project under the Food and Agriculture Organization in Jordan from 1988 to 1990
– Director of the Water Distribution and Irrigation Methods Research Institute from 1990 to 1992
– Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Drainage Projects from 1991 to 1993
– Regional Director of the Water Management and Supplementary Irrigation Project under the United Nations from 1990 to 1993, headquartered in Cairo, covering 8 Arab countries
– Minister of Public Works on October 14, 1993, in the ministry of Dr. Atef Sedky
– Member of several international committees in the fields of irrigation, drainage, and water resources
– Contributed to several books on irrigation and drainage published by the Ministry of Irrigation
– Visited all Nile Basin countries and most countries in Africa and the Americas

– Completed and finalized several important projects, such as the Esna Barrage, Nag Hammadi Lock, Al-Malahah Pumping Station in Sohag, Al-Samsamiya Pumping Station to support irrigation in the Shahada Center area, five floating pumping stations for Aswan, Al-Bahr Al-Saeedi stations in Kafr El-Sheikh, South Al-Husseiniya Plain, South Port Said in Port Said, and Al-Naamoura Pumping Station.
– Established the Water Media Unit
– Inaugurated the first phase of the pioneering project to develop and beautify the Nile River at the Greater Barrages
– Inaugurated the first emergency center in Alexandria Governorate
– Inaugurated the first Certha tunnels of the Salam Canal siphon under the Suez Canal
– Celebrated the arrival of the first drop of water to the Toshka Spillway
– Established the Young Engineers Committee and supported their activities- Started work, laid the foundation stone, and implemented several important projects, such as the Salam Canal siphon under the Suez Canal, Sheikh Zayed Canal and Hammam Extension, Sheikh Jaber Canal in Sinai, and continued the project to build a new Nile Corniche in Cairo
– Shortened the winter closure period to fifteen days in preparation for its future abolition
– Launched the comprehensive plan to combat aquatic weeds and worked on closing the creeks
– Established branch training centers in Minya and Nag Hammadi.
– Established a central administration for irrigation and drainage in the New Valley and Marsa Matrouh for the first time.
– Launched the first media campaign in the fields of irrigation, drainage, and water resources.
– Started work on developing Bahr Youssef by laying the foundation stone for the Lahoun Barrage
– Began implementing the Ministry’s Information Center
